Hans was born in Dusseldorf in 1930. He married Irene Johanna Beck, who was born in Ellwangen/Jagst on July 17, 1927. They have a son, Bertram, who was born in Bitburg on April 25, 1956.

Hans died in Dusseldorf on May 28, 1966.
